Qin Xuan, Professor, Ph.D.Supervisor, Xiamen introduced key talents overseas, mainly engaged in sustainable construction and risk management of large and complex projects.
She was appointed to a vice dean in the College of Civil Engineering with effect from 2012, and included the responsibility for undergraduate education and international exchange. She received her Ph.D. degree in Management Science and Engineering from Tianjin University, her research focuses on the application of Game Theory in the field of construction management. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering from Wuhan University. At the same time, she is also an academic visitor in Construction Management at the University of New South Wales, the Polytechnic University of Milan, the University College London and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She has maintained an active engagement in teaching and research in areas such as operations research, game theory and information economics, risk management, green building and green construction, and prefabricated building for over a decade. At present, she has published a book on "The Best Strategy for Behavioral Subjects in Construction Markets" and has published over 60 papers in peer-reviewed journals, including 2 articles in journals included in SCI and 9 articles in journals by EI indexed. She undertook 1 national natural science fund project and 1 national social science fund project, 4 provincial and ministerial projects, and 3 municipal and departmental projects.
She was awarded the 2014 first prize of teaching achievement in Fujian Province(Ranked third) and 2017 first prize of teaching achievement at Huaqiao university(Ranked first), and is responsible for the provincial virtual simulation experiment teaching programme "project engineering construction 4D virtual simulation" since 2018. Currently she is undertaking the development and promotion of the quality online course "Operations Research" for undergraduate.
