摘要：

This paper presents the experimental results of square concrete-filled bimetallic tubular (CFBT) stub columns under axial compression. The bimetallic tubes for the CFBT columns herein had an outer stainless steel layer and an inner carbon steel layer. Ten CFBT stub columns and two conventional concrete-filled steel tubular (CFST) counterparts using carbon steel tubes were tested to failure under axial compression. The test parameters considered included the wall thickness of the stainless steel tube layer and the cube compressive strength of concrete. Based on the test results, the failure mode, load versus deformation response, and load-carrying capacity of the CFBT columns were studied and compared with those of the CFST counterparts.

个人简介

叶勇，博士，教授，硕士研究生导师。现任华侨大学土木工程学院土木工程系副主任、现代组合结构和抗震防灾创新团队党支部书记。

从事结构工程方向的教学与研究工作，主持国家自然科学基金项目2项(面上、青年各1项)、福建省自然科学基金面上项目2项、中国博士后科学基金项目1项、福建省高校青年自然基金重点项目1项等科研项目。在国内外主流学术期刊及会议上发表论文近100篇，其中SCI、EI收录50余篇，1篇论文获英国土木工程师协会(ICE)年度出版奖。
