    摘要:This study investigates the axial compressive behavior of seawater–sea sand concrete (SSC) columns confined with glass fiberreinforced polymer (GFRP) stirrups. An experimental program was conducted on 22 GFRP stirrup–confined SSC columns, considering key parameters such as SSC strength, GFRP stirrup spacing, and stirrup configurations, including spiral, hoop, rectangular, and compound stirrups (comprising external rectangular and internal spiral stirrups). The results demonstrate that spiral and hoop stirrups provide a comparable confinement effect on the core concrete, while the compound stirrup exhibits a slightly superior confinement effect compared to rectangular stirrups under the same stirrup ratio. Moreover, the confinement effect of compound stirrups becomes more pronounced as the stirrup spacing decreases. The confinement mechanism of GFRP stirrups was analyzed, including the calculation of effective confinement coefficients and the effective strain ratios for various stirrup types. Regression analysis of the experimental data was used to derive equations for peak stress, peak strain, and ultimate strain, which were based on existing models. A unified compression constitutive model for GFRP stirrup–confined SSC columns was subsequently developed and validated against experimental results. The proposed model demonstrates reliable predictive accuracy and provides valuable insights into the axial compressive behavior of GFRP stirrup–confined SSC, facilitating its application in marine and coastal structural engineering.
