Abstract:厦门作为华南近代重要的港口商业城市，在近代城市改造与发展过程中出现了一系列的新区拓展规划。通过对这些规划产生的历史背景与规划特点的研究，分析近代社会经济环境、西方近代城市规划理论、早期城市建设经验对厦门近代城市发展的影响，探讨近代沿海港口商业城市的发展规律及其对当前城市建设的意义。
