黄婷婷博士于2017年12月获得厦门大学信息科学与技术学院博士学位，自2018年1月起任教于华侨大学工学院。黄博士在混沌数字通信系统与加密系统领域，及图片识别领域发表了超过25篇IEEE期刊及会议论文，研究内容涵盖多级混沌信号设计、混沌接收机信息处理技术、混沌信号设计与图像加密、基于深度学习的非相干混沌通信方法和陶瓷电容微观晶粒分割，所涉及的混沌系统在多种信道模型（如多径衰落信道、体域信道、车联网V2V信道）中的应用。部分研究成果已发表于IEEE Transactions on Communications、IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology、IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers等权威期刊。
自2018年以来，她主持并参与了多项科研项目，累计经费超过300万元，并拥有5项以上与混沌数字通信、图像加密及联合信源信道编码相关的中国专利。此外，黄博士还担任IEEE Transactions on Communications、IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology及IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Briefs等国际期刊的审稿人。
