Abstract:摘 要: 杜威反对传统“以书本为中心”教学方式，主张学生是学习的主体,让学生在“从做中学”。这对大学英语教学有很重要的启发。大学英语课教师应该了解先进的教学思想，设计有效的教学模式，帮助学生在有效的的教学活动中构建自己的知识体系，锻炼综合能力。
