Abstract:杜威“反传统”教学理念，使人们认识到学生应当是学习的主体，由此开始了“以学为主”的教学模式的研究，主张“从做中学”，反对传统教育的“书本中心”，这对大学英语教学模式的采用有很重要的启发。教师应该了解先进的教学思想，设计有效的教学模式，帮助学生们从有效的大学英语课教学活动中构建有效知识体系，锻炼综合能力。
