潘夏星，博士，教授，湖南湘潭人，硕士生导师，华侨大学华文学院教师，华侨大学研究生院副院长，奥地利维也纳大学访问学者，厦门市高层次人才（B类），福建省语言学会副秘书长，厦门市语言学会秘书长。先后获湖南科技大学对外汉语学士学位，中国传媒大学语言学及应用语言学硕士学位，浙江大学语言学及应用语言学博士学位。目前的主要研究方向为计量语言学、语料库语言学、华文教育、文体学、二语习得、语言规划等。硕士招生方向为语言学及应用语言学、华语与华文教育、汉语国际教育（专硕）。主持国家社科一般项目一项（已结项）、教育部中外语言交流合作中心重点项目一项，参与各级各类项目多项；参与并获得国家级高等教育教学成果奖二等奖1项、省级和校级高等教育教学成果奖多项；主持省级、校级教改项目多项，参与省部级、校级教学改革项目多项。在《浙江大学学报》，《山西大学学报》，Language Problems and Language Planning, Natural Language Engineering, Digital Scholarship in the Humanities, Glottometrics, Glottotheory等国内外专业刊物发表语言学相关文章10余篇。担任Humanities & Social Sciences Communications，Digital Scholarship in the Humanities，Journal of Quantitative Linguistics，SAGE Open，Frontiers等期刊匿名审稿人。
